Senior Public Prosecutor 80 - 100%The Zurich-Sihl Public Prosecutor's Office in Zurich conducts criminal investigations against adults in a part of the city of Zurich.
We are looking to fill the position of Senior Public Prosecutor (80-100%) immediately or by arrangement due to the resignation of the previous incumbent.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leadership and organisation of the office with around 60 employees as well as promotion and evaluation of 8 direct reports
- Ensuring an optimal age structure of cases and guaranteeing a balanced caseload through managed allocation to departments
- Exercising the competence for objections and appeals, monitoring key cases, and supporting case handlers in complex criminal investigations
- Acting as an active interface between the office and the management of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by participating in cross-office projects and mediating and implementing strategic initiatives within the office
Your profile:
- Several years of successful experience in the field of criminal prosecution as well as qualified knowledge of criminal and criminal procedural law
- Proven leadership experience and enthusiasm for both personnel and organisational tasks
- Confident demeanour, high resilience, and assertiveness
- Holistic perspective and ability for analytical, networked thinking
- Strong goal orientation and decisiveness
