Head of the Integration and Disability Rights Section
Social Services Office | 100% | Chur
The Integration and Disability Rights Section is part of the Cantonal Social Services Office. This section is responsible for offers for the social and professional integration of adults with disabilities as well as for equal treatment of people with disabilities in the Canton of Graubünden. The section coordinates and selects requests and political issues related to disability at the departmental and interdepartmental levels.
For June 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a head of the Integration and Disability Rights Section.
Tasks
- Leads the Integration and Disability Rights Section and is responsible for implementing disability policy objectives and the cantonal legislative directives.
 - Leads a team of specialists as well as the coordination service for equal treatment of people with disabilities and is a member of the management of the Cantonal Social Services Office.
 - Responsible for planning the offer, authorization, supervision, and financing of inpatient, semi-inpatient, and outpatient services for people with disabilities.
 - Together with the coordination service for equal treatment of people with disabilities and in collaboration with cantonal services, implements the government’s action plan related to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
 - Acts as the contact person for institutions, organizations, and authorities and represents the interests of people with disabilities within the cantonal administration.
 - Additionally, prepares service mandates, reports, and statements on specific disability-related topics and manages inter-cantonal cooperation.
 
What we expect from you
- You are a competent and reliable person with a completed tertiary education in social or economic sciences or an equivalent qualification.
 - You have leadership experience, organizational skills, negotiation abilities, and several years of professional experience.
 - Your strengths include strong communication, conceptual, and writing skills.
 - You are able to handle tasks and think interdisciplinarily and have solid IT knowledge.
 - You work independently, conscientiously, and constructively. Additionally, you can sustain intense work rhythms, work in a team, and understand complex issues.
 - Knowledge of the official cantonal languages is desirable.
