About the job
🔧 Passion instead of standard. With us, you don’t work on an assembly line, but on what moves the region: lorries, buses, vans and construction machinery. Whether you call yourself a lorry mechanic, truck mechanic, bus mechanic or by the official title Automotive Specialist EFZ – Windisch is the right place for you.
For over 100 years, Gebr. Knecht AG has been a reliable partner in commercial vehicles, construction machinery, bodywork and signage. Owner-managed, family-oriented, at four locations in Switzerland and since 2024 part of the Thomann Commercial Vehicle Group with a total of eleven locations throughout German-speaking Switzerland.

- Careful documentation: Clearly recorded, comprehensible for customers and team
🛠️ Your profile
- Completed training as Automotive Specialist EFZ Commercial Vehicles or equivalent qualification
- Manual dexterity and enjoyment in working on large vehicles

🤔 Why us – and not another company?
- 100 years of experience, but no stagnation: We are not an anonymous large corporation, but an owner-managed family business – decisions are made here, not somewhere in a head office
- Versatility instead of one-way street: Commercial vehicles, construction machinery, bodywork – with us you learn more than just one vehicle category
- Brands you want to work with: Mercedes-Benz Trucks and MAN Truck & Bus – technology up to date, workshop at top level
- Development is lived: As an automotive specialist, you are not "fully trained" with us – we specifically promote you towards mechatronics or special fields
- More than a job: Through the Knecht Group, you have access to other Thomann companies, Eurobus, Welti-Furrer and other sister companies if you want to reorient yourself later
