PhD in a relevant biomedical field (e.g., clinical research, health science, epidemiology)
Significant record of peer-reviewed publications demonstrating scientific productivity and impact.
Strong analytical skills and sound knowledge of statistical methodology, ideally with experience managing large datasets
Experience with R, Stata or similar analytical software; machine learning experience is a plus
Excellent knowledge of the clinical research process from planning through to publication
Familiarity with orthopaedic research; direct experience in upper extremity outcomes research is an advantage
Excellent English (spoken and written, especially scientific/medical English); German comprehension or willingness to learn
Well-developed communication and organisational skills; ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Passionate about research, with integrity and the ability to work under pressure
Independently lead and conduct research projects in shoulder and elbow surgery
Design and implement studies, manage data collection and analysis, and ensure data quality
Perform advanced statistical analyses and contribute to machine learning-based modelling
Write and publish high-quality scientific papers; present at national and international conferences
Participate in grant writing
Collaborate closely with clinicians and external partners
Supervise students, research assistants, and study assistants
Contribute to the strategic development of the research group
