About the job
The cantonal unemployment fund (ALK), together with the Regional Employment Center and the Employment Office, implements unemployment insurance law. The focus of their services is on clarifying entitlement to benefits as well as calculating and timely paying compensation for unemployment, insolvency, short-time work, and bad weather.
We are looking for a
Student Assistant ALK 20–40 %
starting immediately or by arrangement for one to two years with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Review and assessment of entitlement to short-time work and bad weather compensation as well as insolvency compensation
- Payment of short-time work and bad weather compensation as well as insolvency compensation
- Issuing first-instance decisions and preparing appeal-compliant rulings
- Legally compliant enforcement of unemployment insurance law
- Advising various claimant groups
Requirements
- Started bachelor's degree after vocational training or completed bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, law, or a related field
- Initial work experience in a similar context
- Strong affinity for numbers and interest in legal issues
- Proficient in MS Office and IT skills
- Independent and precise working style
- Customer orientation and enjoyment in dealing with people
