Office for Informatics
Project Portfolio Officer
As a Project Portfolio Officer in the Project Portfolio Governance team, you ensure that our IT, organisational, and digitalisation projects meet high quality standards. With your trained eye, solid methodological knowledge, and pragmatic approach, you support our project managers and actively help shape the further development of our Project Management Office (PMO).
Tasks
- You review project documents and decision bases for quality, completeness, and compliance with methodological requirements. You accompany Quality Gates, request necessary improvements, and ensure appropriate escalation in case of significant deviations.
- When applying HERMES 2022 and our project management standards, you check compliance with defined processes and further develop templates and tools.
- As a contact person, you advise project managers on methodological and organisational questions and convey standards in workshops or training sessions.
- For project and portfolio reporting, you check data quality and support the preparation of reports, key figures, and decision bases.
- In portfolio and project management, you ensure data quality in the AFI master plan, create analyses and decision bases for the portfolio board, and support prioritisation with transparent evaluations.
- You support project controlling by checking project information for plausibility and monitoring risks, measures, and project progress. You identify deviations, highlight the need for action, and contribute to the further development of our PMO.
Profile
- You have a qualification in computer science, business informatics, business administration, or a comparable qualification, as well as several years of professional experience in a Project Management Office (PMO).
- You are well acquainted with HERMES 2022 and the interrelations between project methodology, quality assurance, governance, and portfolio management. HERMES Foundation is required; Advanced is a plus.
- You are familiar with quality assurance and Quality Gates from practice. You confidently assess even complex project documents, recognise inconsistencies, and keep an overview.
- You work precisely, structured, and independently, set priorities, and combine methodological consistency with a pragmatic approach.
- You represent quality requirements clearly and in a partnership manner, even towards experienced project managers. You quickly familiarise yourself with new topics and enjoy sharing your knowledge.
- You are proficient with Microsoft 365; knowledge of ServiceNow SPM, Power BI, or SharePoint is an advantage. Very good German and good English skills complete your profile.
