About the job
Living with mental health challenges can be demanding – for the affected person as well as their environment. That is why the Interest Group for Social Psychiatry Zurich (IGSP) exists. It was founded 55 years ago out of the need to offer people supported and supervised living opportunities.
Our goal: People with mental health challenges lead as independent a life as possible and can participate in society. Three points are central to this: We treat each other with respect and on an equal footing. We work purposefully with the resources that the client brings. And we see the individual person in their entirety.
The Fellenberg residential group is located in a new building in Zurich-Albisrieden. The average age of the 12 young adults is 23 years. The central goal of our collaboration is to develop as much independence as possible, whether in daily life and household management, in maintaining a daily structure, or in learning a profession.
Within walking distance, in a bright maisonette apartment, is the associated external residential group Langgrüt. It provides 5 young adults with a suitable setting to expand and strengthen their own independence. An external daily structure as well as the willingness to take responsibility in communal living are prerequisites here.
From 1 December 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a Social Psychiatry Specialist 80-100% with training in psychiatric nursing or social pedagogy (HF/FH).

- Goal- and resource-oriented support of young adults with a mental health impairment
- Support in everyday life as well as in crisis situations
- Responsibility as a key contact person and support in individual development steps

- Promotion of social skills and support of group dynamic processes
Profile:
- Training in psychiatric nursing or social pedagogy at HF/FH level
- Professional experience in psychiatry or supported living
- Structured working method, networked thinking and enjoyment of collaboration
- Good IT skills and nuanced communication ability
- Integrity, enthusiasm and a reliable personality with high social skills

Offer:
- Broad and varied range of tasks with scope for creativity
- Well-trained, experienced and motivated care team
