AI First Data Engineer

Job Description

Is your passion to create real value for our customers with AI and not only develop modern data & AI solutions but also successfully bring them into production together with your AI agent team?

This is what gets you up in the morning:

• You build data pipelines and data models with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric on Azure, thereby creating the foundation for modern AI and analytics solutions.
• You clarify requirements directly with our customers, design the architecture, and independently drive the implementation forward.
• You lead your AI agent team through development, testing, and documentation, assign tasks purposefully, and ensure the quality of the results.
• You develop innovative agents and workflows together with your AI agent team and continuously optimise them.
• You make data usable with semantic models and reports in Power BI, creating the basis for well-founded analytics and AI applications.

We expect from you:

• Practical experience in data engineering with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric as well as solid SQL and Python skills.
• High degree of independence and experience in direct customer contact: You ask the right questions, make decisions, and independently bring topics to completion.
• A pronounced AI-first mindset: You think in agents and workflows, experiment with new tools, and critically question results.
• Sound Power BI knowledge, including data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Enjoyment in taking responsibility, orchestrating tasks, and delivering high-quality results together with your AI agent team.
• Curiosity and willingness to continuously engage with the latest AI, Azure, and Microsoft technologies.
• Willingness to accompany customers on-site in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
