Your Area of Responsibility

You take on the strategic leadership and further development of the Supply Chain Management department with 17 employees and trainees
You are responsible for the holistic control of the supply chain - from demand planning and procurement through scheduling and logistics to material provision, return, and disposal.
You develop and are responsible for implementing the procurement and supplier strategies of the BVZ/MGB group and manage the supply chain based on relevant cost, inventory, availability, quality, and performance indicators
You optimise material flows from supplier to customer and ensure high material availability with optimal stock levels and costs
You actively participate in the management team of the Rolling Stock & Traction division as well as in working groups and expert committees within the railway industry

Your Profile

You have several years of leadership experience in supply chain management roles as well as experience in supplier management and contract law
A higher business or technical education is ideally complemented by further training in purchasing (e.g. purchasing manager), supply chain management, or logistics
You have a strong understanding of material, goods, and information flows as well as a high affinity for digitalisation, automation, and data-based solutions
You are a personable individual who brings a lot of initiative, implementation strength, connected and entrepreneurial thinking
You think ahead, question the status quo, and implement changes
