Senior Consultant Radiology 80-100% - First Step into a Leadership Role

You have recently completed your specialist title in radiology or are about to - and wonder if you are already ready for a senior consultant role?
In this position, you do not need to be able to do everything from day one. An experienced team will support you as you step into the new role, while you continue to work broadly in CT, MRI, ultrasound, conventional radiology and mammography.

The radiology department is part of a regional acute hospital and cares for inpatient and outpatient patients as well as several external practice locations. The medical team consists of the chief physician, several senior physicians, around eight senior consultants and a few assistant doctors. This structure enables close professional exchange, short decision-making paths and individual induction.

The institute covers the entire spectrum of diagnostic radiology, from conventional radiology through CT, MRI and ultrasound to mammography. The offering is complemented by interventional procedures as well as close collaboration with diagnostic neuroradiology.

Your tasks:

• Independent reporting of CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound examinations
• Performing basic interventional procedures according to your previous experience
• Care of outpatient and inpatient patients
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with clinical departments as well as presentation of findings at briefings and tumour boards
• Gradual assumption of senior consultant responsibilities in clinical routine
• Supervision, professional support and training of assistant doctors

Your competencies:

• Specialist title in radiology, recognised in Germany or the EU; support with recognition in Switzerland through Medimeo
• Alternatively, you are in the final phase of your specialist training and expect to obtain the title this year
• Interest in a broad diagnostic activity and motivation to develop professionally
• Independent, structured and quality-conscious working style
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and training of assistant doctors
• High social competence, team spirit and respectful interaction with patients and colleagues
• Very good knowledge of German
