About the job
Secretary at the Public Prosecutor's Office
- AUTJ175
- As a criminal prosecution authority, the Public Prosecutor's Office has the primary mission of defending the public interest. Responsible for the uniform exercise of public prosecution, it is tasked with conducting the preliminary procedure, prosecuting offences during the investigation, and, where appropriate, drawing up the indictment and then supporting it.
As a secretary, you play a key role in the administrative management of cases within the competence of the Public Prosecutor's Office and provide essential support to the prosecutors who make up this authority.
In this capacity, you are responsible for the constitution and administrative processing of judicial files as well as typing documents and decisions dictated by the magistrates. Your role also includes drafting correspondence and simple decisions, scheduling hearings, and assisting at them, particularly for taking minutes (either by dictation or shorthand).
You also ensure the monitoring of schedules and deadlines at the IT level and are responsible for sending, enforcing, and archiving the decisions rendered.
Finally, you are the first point of contact for welcoming and informing litigants, lawyers, and other administrative services, whether at the counter or by telephone.
As part of this role, you also participate in the on-call services provided by the prosecutors.
You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification, as well as prior relevant experience for the position, ideally in the judicial environment or in a law firm.
Recognised for your loyalty and discretion, you are strongly committed to public service values and have a strong sense of responsibility.
You have an excellent command of French, typing skills, and the Office suite. Able to work independently, you take initiatives within the scope of your assigned responsibilities and are appreciated for your rigour and precision as well as your versatility.
You are also recognised for your adaptability and ability to integrate into a team. Possessing strong stress resistance, you manage, thanks to a great sense of organisation and priority management, to handle a large workload while ensuring deadlines are met.
This position also requires a clean criminal record and debt collection register.
