At the Lüthi ward of the University Psychiatric Centre Bern (UPZ), you care for people with mental illnesses. As a health specialist, you are an important contact person in the daily ward routine: With your presence in the environment, your empathy and your professional skills, you help to convey security, promote resources and actively support the recovery process. You work in a committed interprofessional team that supports each other and takes responsibility together.

Your tasks

• You care for and accompany our patients in everyday life and support them professionally in their psychiatric treatment
• You independently carry out nursing and medical-technical activities within the scope of your competencies
• You observe changes in the condition of the patients and actively contribute your observations to the treatment process
• Together with the interprofessional team, you work according to current nursing standards and make an important contribution to high-quality care
• You document your services carefully and support professional and safe treatment planning
• You actively contribute to the team and help create a respectful, therapeutic atmosphere on the ward

Your profile

• You have a federal certificate of competence as a health specialist (FaGe)
• Ideally, you already have experience in psychiatry or would like to discover this exciting field for yourself
• You meet people with appreciation, patience and empathy and build trust - even in challenging situations
• You enjoy working independently as well as interprofessionally and take responsibility for your tasks
• You are open to new things and want to continuously develop yourself professionally and personally
• You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written
