Respectful and committed, with head, heart and hand. That is the vision of sumia. The Alterszentrum Sumiswald AG has 130 single rooms in a rural setting in the Emmental. A total of 230 employees and about 40 volunteers are dedicated around the clock to the well-being of the residents.

As a residential group leader, you shape a daily routine in which our residents feel comfortable and employees can contribute their strengths.
Your area of responsibility
- You lead your team of about 15 people appreciatively, clearly and coaching-oriented and strengthen employees in their skills.
- You organise the daily business in the residential group with 23 residents, set priorities and ensure orientation and good solutions even in lively situations.
- You combine leadership responsibility with direct care and are present where your support is needed.
- Together with your team, you ensure professional, needs-oriented care and support for our residents.
- You work closely with various professional groups, relatives and internal departments and promote good collaboration.
- You contribute your ideas, further develop the residential group and keep people, quality and responsible resource management in mind.
Your profile
- You have a diploma as a HF nursing specialist or long-term care specialist and bring several years of experience in long-term care and ideally in leadership.
- You enjoy leading and understand how to empower employees, delegate responsibility and build trust.
- You are well organised, think ahead and find pragmatic solutions even with diverse demands.
- You communicate openly and appreciatively, can address conflicts and reconcile different interests.
- You are decisive, resilient and remain calm and keep an overview even in demanding situations.
- You approach people with empathy and openness, appreciate different life stories and cultural backgrounds and enjoy working together.
- Humour, creativity, curiosity and a good awareness of your own self-organisation and self-care complete your profile.
