Who are we?
The Fribourg Art and History Museum (MAHF) consists of three parts. The Ratzé hotel, the former slaughterhouse, the building for temporary exhibitions as well as a garden serving as a setting for monumental sculptures. The Jean Tinguely - Niki de Saint Phalle Space (Espace JTNSP) is a magical place that pays tribute to the creativity of two great 20th-century artists. The works gathered in the two institutions document the cultural history of the canton. With the permanent presentation of the collection and temporary exhibitions, they thus offer keys to understanding the past and present, while raising public awareness of the creation of Fribourg artists. Numerous public events take place throughout the year.

Your missions
Assistance in areas pertaining to technicians:
- Participate, under the direction of the technical manager, in agreement with the exhibition curators and management, in the assembly and disassembly of exhibitions, including packing and transport operations
- Appropriately assist in the handling of cultural objects in exhibitions, storage and during transport operations
- Collaborate in the manufacture of transport, packing, exhibition and everyday use materials as well as in the maintenance of the machine park
- Help implement actions that ensure the safety of staff, visitors, works and premises
- Participate in the installation and maintenance of lighting, sound and multimedia devices
- Under the supervision of the technical manager, manage the locations of works in the centralised reserve for the maintenance and order of the State collections (updating movements of works and objects)
Desired profile
- Federal VET diploma in a building trade (carpentry, electricity, etc.) or equivalent training
- Experience within cultural or museum institutions
- Rigor, versatility, flexibility, and sense of responsibility. You are able to manage several tasks in parallel and are stress-resistant
- You know how to work in a team
- Computer skills and ability to develop in this area
- Knowledge in multimedia and video is welcome
- Driving licence B
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
