What you can achieve
- Educational, personnel, organisational and administrative leadership responsibility for the Special Education Centre Ausserschwyz (HZA)
- Strategic and operational development of the HZA in collaboration with the school managements, the Special Education Centre Innerschwyz and the Office for Public Schools and Sport
- Control and assurance of quality development as well as implementation of cantonal requirements
- Management of around 158 employees in close cooperation with the school managements
- Representation of the HZA in cantonal and regional specialist and coordination committees
- Responsibility for constructive collaboration with guardians, mainstream schools, municipalities, specialist offices and school authorities
- Initiation, leadership and support of development and innovation projects
What distinguishes you
- Master’s degree in School Special Education
- Further training in school, educational management or leadership
- Several years of successful leadership and management experience in an educational or social institution
- Cooperative and development-oriented leadership style with the ability to promote employees, actively shape change and strengthen a culture of collaboration
- Sound expertise in special education as well as a deep understanding of the needs of children and young people with disabilities
- Committed integrative attitude and dedication to a school culture that promotes diversity and individual participation
- Mindful and appreciative interaction with children and young people with disabilities and their relatives
- Strong communication and networking skills in dealing with school authorities, specialist offices, municipalities and other stakeholders
- High resilience, decisiveness, flexibility as well as a structured and solution-oriented working method
- Confident oral and written communication
