Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Front-End Sales Engineer, your exciting task is to implement our sales strategy and market our products and solutions to customers in Switzerland. In close cooperation with our internal service team, you advise customers and convince them of the benefits of our powerful products. In addition to supporting existing customers, you are also responsible for acquiring new customers. You systematically conclude contracts with business partners, thereby contributing to a sustainable increase in our company’s market share.
The working model for this position is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid
This role is assigned to the ABB Motors & Drives division in Switzerland.
Your Main Tasks
Leading project and tender processes by identifying, qualifying, and actively pursuing project opportunities; coordinating internal stakeholders (engineering, product management, and service) to create competitive and compliant technical and commercial offers
Early engagement with engineering offices and key decision-makers in the project lifecycle to position ABB solutions as the preferred specification and ensure compliance with technical requirements and long-term customer benefits
Building strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and offering customised ABB solutions, as well as leading technical and commercial contract negotiations
Monitoring market trends, identifying new opportunities, and managing sales processes and documentation, including account plans and SFDC reporting
Qualifications for the Role
University degree or higher technical education (TS/HF) in a technical field
Solid technical knowledge in motors, generators, drive technology, and services
Proven experience in customer management and sales strategy with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
Market and customer knowledge is an advantage
Team-oriented, solution-focused working style with strong communication skills
Willingness to travel within Switzerland, especially in the German-speaking region
Very good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage
