For the Early Intervention Autism specialist unit at the Social Paediatric Centre (SPZ) Early Intensive Behavioural Interventions (EIBI), we are seeking a Therapeutic Staff Member (ThMA) from January 2027. In an EIBI, each child is specifically and individually supported for 15 hours per week. This intensive early intervention is based on the principles of ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis).
The position is initially limited until the end of 2027. An extension and conversion into a permanent employment contract will be considered.
This is who we are
Your tasks
- You independently conduct support sessions under professional guidance at the children’s homes, at the SPZ and/or in a playgroup/nursery
- You assist parents in the practical implementation of support and everyday goals (parent training)
- You document individual support data according to a specified structure and prepare the support documentation for therapy team meetings
- You participate in the fortnightly 2.5-hour therapy team meetings per child at SPZ Winterthur
- You cover holiday replacements for other ThMAs and perform additional administrative tasks to maintain operations
Your profile
- You have a basic psychological or educational qualification, e.g. Bachelor in Psychology, Education or related disciplines, FaBe-K
- You have experience with toddlers
- You are enthusiastic, empathetic, resilient, organised and have a very quick grasp
- You have further training in Autism, ABA, ESDM, PECS or are willing to complete these
- You are willing to travel to various residential and support locations (no fixed workplace). Therefore, living in the Winterthur region would be an advantage
- Your mother tongue is German. Swiss German is an advantage.
- You have secure basic Office skills
