About the job
Together we keep Basel on track. In this versatile role, you take responsibility for our rail infrastructure and actively shape its further development. You will not only be working in the office but also directly on the track, where the mobility of tomorrow is created.
What to expect
- You take responsibility for our rail construction subsystem and ensure that our infrastructure remains safe, reliable, and fit for the future
- You develop technical standards, guidelines, and fundamentals further, working closely with various specialist departments. Not only at the desk but also directly on the track
- You accompany rail construction projects from planning to on-site implementation and ensure that technical requirements are implemented in a practical manner
- You analyse disruptions, identify optimisation potentials, and develop sustainable solutions together with internal and external partners
- You help shape the track of tomorrow, further develop strategies, define key figures, and actively contribute to exciting reengineering projects
What you bring with you
- A completed degree as a civil or transport engineer or a comparable technical education with a focus on rail construction or infrastructure
- Experience in planning, project design, or maintenance of track and rail infrastructures
- Knowledge of standards, regulations, and legal basics in the rail environment or the motivation to acquire this knowledge
- You think analytically, work in a structured way, and enjoy solving demanding technical challenges
- You communicate on equal terms, bring different interests together, and find the best solution together with others
