The Office for Penal Enforcement of the Department of Security and Justice employs around 260 staff in various professional fields. The Platanenhof Youth Home supports juveniles and young adults placed under civil and criminal law according to social pedagogical principles and concepts. New social, educational, and professional development perspectives are developed with the youths in a closed or open setting.
For the establishment of the internal temporary pilot painting project, we are looking for a
Painting Specialist (m/f/d)
from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement
Workload: 80-90%, limited to 12 months with option for extension
Workplace: Oberuzwil
What to expect
- Development and professional implementation of the pilot painting project: active participation in designing the concept, workflows, learning objectives, checklists, and internal competency verification
- Planning and execution of simple painting, maintenance, and renovation work inside the building and on the premises of the youth home as well as external assignments
- Teaching basic professional skills such as punctuality, orderliness, care, perseverance, tool and material maintenance, handling criticism, and completing a task
- Ensuring quality, occupational safety, health protection, as well as proper cleaning, storage, and disposal in the painting area
What distinguishes you
- Completed vocational training as a painter EFZ with solid professional experience; experience in plastering or renovation is welcome
- Trainer course, experience with apprentices, or further training in work pedagogy/social pedagogy are advantageous; willingness to develop further in pedagogy is expected
- Technically strong, resilient personality who combines craftsmanship skills with joy in working with young people
- Confident and appreciative personality with a clear stance, patience, humour, assertiveness, and a good sense of closeness and distance
