Senior Actuary Reserving & Reporting (m/f/d)
How you contribute:
- Ensuring the reserving roadmap including further development of methodology, data foundations, analysis infrastructure, and internal coordination processes (private and corporate clients)
- Responsible for the reserving process in the OKP and VVG private customer business (data preparation, reserve calculations for annual and quarterly financial statements, ICS, audit, supervisory requests)
- Taking over the planning and reporting processes in the VVG private customer business (actuarial inputs for financial planning, interim claims projections, cost models)
- Supporting the annual premium processes with insights from reserving, claims projections, and other analyses
- Further developing and expanding the data foundations as well as the analysis and reserving methodology including creating reserve concepts for product developments
- Leading the annual renewal of reinsurance and ensuring coordination with internal stakeholders (controlling, accounting, risk management, CFO, group accounting)
- Training and guiding team members as well as taking on (partial) leadership of projects with an insurance-technical focus
What sets you apart:
- You have a university degree (Uni/FH) in mathematics, physics, actuarial science, or a related discipline. Specific further training in actuarial science is an advantage.
- You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in actuarial work. Solid experience within health insurance, in reserve calculation, and in insurance techniques is a great advantage.
- You communicate skillfully and impress with a pronounced analytical, solution- and goal-oriented mindset.
- You work independently but are also an ace team player.
- You are well versed in R, relational databases, DWH tools, etc.
- You understand how to handle complex data excellently and drive the sustainable expansion and cleansing of the data base forward.
- You are open to new things and gladly take on tasks outside your classic area of responsibility to contribute hands-on and broaden your skillset.
