Our mission: We safely power your flight. As a Head of Powerplant Engineering you will lead a team of 18 engineers and oversee all technical aspects of engine shop visits and part refurbishment. You will be responsible for setting technical standards, implementing innovative procedures, and fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture. A key part of your role will be to closely liaise with our Engineering team in Belgrade, Serbia.
Your tasks
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Powerplant Engineers, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Assess and incorporate OEM technical data for CFM56 and PW4000 engines into work procedures to achieve product improvements in terms of safety, quality, delivery and costs
- Promote positive safety and quality culture by ensuring that relevant policies and standards are communicated, implemented, and maintained across the organization, in accordance with the requirements and boundaries of EASA Part 145
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Shop Floor Operations ensuring technical assistance, other Engineering functions from Zurich to Belgrade, Product Development, and other internal stakeholders, all while ensuring efficient and accurate modification management and seamless integration of technical documentation
- Lead root cause investigations and issue technical reports for damage events and reliability concerns
- Closely interact with engine manufacturers to improve reliability and repairability of engine parts and components Drive performance through structured KPI tracking, target setting and regular reviews
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong technical understanding of engine maintenance and repair processes
- Proven leadership experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English (C1)
- High safety, quality, and cost awareness
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven with the ability to energize teams
