About the job
The Drainage Department of the Civil Engineering Office ensures the trouble-free operation of the public drainage network, which is over 330 km long and includes more than 70 special structures such as retention basins, stormwater overflows, and pumping stations. It also manages the drainage of 500 municipal properties.
For our Sewer Operations division, we are seeking a technically skilled and highly organised individual with leadership experience. Together with the team, you will ensure reliable operations and actively contribute to the further development of sewer operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating daily work assignments as well as the optimal deployment of staff, vehicles, equipment, and materials
- Organising and supervising maintenance and operational work within the sewer network
- Personnel and operational management of employees, ensuring reliable and efficient sewer operations
- Responsibility for selected operational topics such as occupational safety, on-call duty, and technical control systems
- Handling enquiries and complaints, assisting with disruptions and emergencies, maintaining operational data in GIS, processing TV inspection data, and other specialised systems
Your Profile
- Completed technical or craft apprenticeship at EFZ level, supplemented by specialised or commercial further training
- Several years of professional experience in a technical operation and a good understanding of operational processes and technical installations
- Leadership experience as well as experience in work planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Good IT user skills and interest in technical specialised systems and control systems
- Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented working style with strong organisational and sense of responsibility
- Communicative, team-oriented personality with flexibility and resilience, even during disruptions and emergencies
