As Chief Underwriting Officer (m/f/d), you take on an important key position and work closely with colleagues at SBB Insurance AG based in Liechtenstein as well as with SBB and external parties. Together with your colleagues from the insurance sector, who combine expertise and passion, you navigate the challenges of everyday life and master unexpected events and claims. Ensuring insurance coverage for the various business areas of SBB such as mobility, energy, real estate and infrastructure makes this position demanding - but extremely exciting and unique!

What you can achieve.

• As Chief Underwriting Officer (m/f/d), you are responsible for the underwriting strategy, guidelines and risk policy as well as their implementation.
• You bear responsibility for risk selection, underwriting policy and pricing.
• Analysing market trends, emerging risks and competitive developments as well as deriving strategic measures from them are part of your tasks.
• You represent the interests of SBB Insurance towards various internal and external stakeholders such as reinsurance companies and service providers and ensure stable and trusting relationships.
• Sustainability is a real concern for you - therefore you also drive this topic forward with us in the insurance market and set new standards.
• You consistently implement the strategic goals of SBB Insurance and further develop them.

What you bring with you.

• You distinguish yourself through your solution-oriented thinking, decisiveness, sense of responsibility, clear communication and a can-do mentality.
• You bring broad and solid knowledge in insurance and reinsurance business, especially in the area of property, business interruption and liability insurance.
• Your several years of experience in risk assessment and evaluation and accompanying risk audits form the basis for deriving wording and pricing.
• You are both a technical risk specialist and a strategic manager and have already celebrated successes as a professional leader and know how to master complex challenges with various stakeholders. Furthermore, you are familiar with the requirements regarding regulation and compliance.
• We require a business administration university degree (FH or university) with a focus on finance/insurance or an equivalent further education in the insurance sector.
• You are fluent in German (level C2) and have good knowledge of English (level B2); another national language is a plus.
