Senior Consultant Radiology 80-100% - broad spectrum without night shifts

You have obtained your specialist title in Radiology, gained initial experience at specialist or senior consultant level, and now wish to take the step to Switzerland? Are you looking for a position where you can work broadly diagnostically, take on responsibility, and do not have to do night shifts?

In this role, you independently interpret CT, MRI, and X-ray examinations and contribute your experience in sonography as well as in basic interventional procedures. You assume senior consultant responsibility, mentor younger colleagues, and maintain close communication with the clinical departments.

You work in an experienced, manageable team of doctors with a broadly structured senior staff and only a few assistant doctors. This provides you with professional support even in your first senior consultant position, allows you to exchange closely with experienced colleagues, and simultaneously gradually take on supervisory responsibility.

The regionally anchored acute hospital in the Swiss Midlands has around 130 beds. The radiology institute serves inpatient and outpatient patients and works closely with the hospital's specialist departments as well as external referrers.

The technical equipment includes two 1.5-Tesla MRI systems, two CT scanners with dual-energy technology, as well as workstations for ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, and conventional radiology. AI-supported applications complement the reporting. During the night, the institute is supported by the teleradiology of a university centre.

Your tasks:

• Independent reporting of CT, MRI, and conventional X-ray examinations
• Performing and reporting ultrasound examinations
• Radiological care of outpatient and inpatient patients
• Performing basic interventional procedures such as CT-guided punctures, biopsies, and drain placements according to your experience
• Presentation and discussion of radiological findings at briefings and interdisciplinary case conferences
• Supervision and professional support of assistant doctors
• Participation in internal training and in the professional development of the institute

Your competencies:

• Specialist title in Radiology, recognised in Germany or the EU; support with recognition in Switzerland through Medimeo
• Initial experience as a senior consultant or willingness to take on corresponding responsibility
• Confidence in reporting CT, MRI, and conventional X-ray examinations
• Experience in sonography
• Basic knowledge of interventional procedures such as punctures, biopsies, or drainages is an advantage
• Enjoyment of clinically oriented radiology and direct exchange with referring departments
• Interest in training younger colleagues
• Independent, structured, and team-oriented working style
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
