About the job

The Münchwilen School comprises the primary school centres Kastanienhof and Oberhofen as well as the secondary school centre Waldegg, with around 730 pupils and over 130 staff members. Each school centre is operationally managed by a school leadership team. A property manager is responsible for the infrastructure area. The school secretariat provides administrative support for these functions. The strategic overall management, including corresponding control and development tasks, lies with the school board. The persons sought by the school have • an interest in educational matters, • openness to both school and societal development, • decisiveness and discretion and work well in a team, • the ability to take responsibility, think conceptually and plan, • time resources of at least 10 per cent of a full-time position, which can be contributed through a multi-year commitment. The Münchwilen School is seeking two auditors from 1 August 2025 The Münchwilen School comprises the primary school centres Kastanienhof and Oberhofen as well as the secondary school centre Waldegg with a total of around 730 pupils and over 130 staff members. The school board is responsible for the entire school finances, while the accounting is managed by the school caretaker. Based on budgeting and other fundamentals according to the rules of procedure, the responsible persons make decisions annually about expenses and investments. The persons sought by the school have • a commercial education, • knowledge in finance and accounting, • willingness to familiarise themselves with the peculiarities of public accounting, • the necessary diligence and discretion and work well in a team, • time resources of around 3 working days per year, which can be contributed through a multi-year commitment. Announcement of the general renewal election The general renewal election for the legislative period 2025 - 2029 will take place on 9 February 2025. A possible second round would take place on 18 May 2025. This information is thus provided in good time (more than 69 days before the election). Persons who can imagine standing as candidates must submit their nomination with 10 supporting voters in good time, no later than 55 days before the election, i.e. by 16 December 2024, 11:00 am, to the school secretariat against confirmation. The corresponding form is available for download on the Münchwilen School website in the online counter. In this case, the name will be included in the official list of names, which will be sent to the voters with the election documents. We also gladly refer you to the flyer of the VTGS (Association of Thurgau School Communities), which you can also find on our website. If no more proposals are received by the election office than members to be elected, the proposed candidates will be declared elected by the school board in a silent election according to the school community regulations.
