Chief Resident for the Autism Spectrum Disorders Service
We are looking for a Chief Resident with an activity rate between 80% - 100% for the Day Therapeutic Center (CTJ) and the mobile team of the North Branch of the Autism Spectrum Disorders & Related (STSA) Service within the Department of Psychiatry in Lausanne. The starting date is scheduled for February 1, 2025.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Psychiatry (DP) serves all three life stages. It includes the Central, West, and North psychiatric sectors of the canton. Its mission is the comprehensive and multidisciplinary care of children, adolescents, adults, and elderly people suffering from mental disorders.
The Autism Spectrum Disorders & Related Service is a structure of the CHUV psychiatry department dedicated to autism spectrum disorders. It coordinates and brings together all the structures attached to it in the canton of Vaud, structures involved in supporting people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) throughout their life course, and plays a reference role in the canton of Vaud.
Composed of a tertiary center, hospitalization and diagnostic units, regional structures, its activity is carried out in close partnership with professionals working with the structures and professionals involved in autism spectrum disorders.
It consists of multidisciplinary teams integrating psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, neuropediatricians, nurses, psychomotor therapists, speech therapists, specialized educators, specialized educators, and researchers who work in close collaboration.
The missions of the Autism Spectrum Disorders & Related Service focus on diagnosis, care, and support of minors and adults with ASD, network training, and clinical research. The structures attached to the ASD service include the cantonal autism center, regional diagnostic branches, two early intervention centers and a specialized kindergarten class, mobile teams for children/adults, a mental development psychiatry section, hospitalization units, a CHUV reception system for people with autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability, and support groups.
Mission
- You provide consultation activities and participate in the diagnostic evaluation of patients within the North Branch of the STSA under the supervision of the Associate Physician
- You are the medical referent for the North and West mobile TSA Resource team
- You handle administrative activities related to the aforementioned clinical activity
- You participate in clinical research activities conducted within the STSA
- You participate in teaching and training conducted by the STSA.
Profile
- You hold a Swiss Federal Diploma in Medicine or a title recognized by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (MEBEKO)
- You hold an FMH specialist title in child and adolescent psychiatry or equivalent, recognized by MEBEKO
- You possess an advanced training title in child and adolescent psychiatry, recognized in Switzerland
- You have solid clinical experience in the child and adolescent psychiatry field
- You have an interest in the neurodevelopmental field and neurosciences
- You are able to work in a multidisciplinary team
- You master French, level C1 required.
