About the job
Industrial vision at Mikron is inspired by and integrates the latest technical developments in the field, both from a hardware and software perspective. The Vision Engineer therefore plays a central role in ensuring the quality of components and assembly on our lines. From feasibility assessment to customer support, including design, commissioning and qualification of vision systems, they are involved throughout the entire project cycle to guarantee reliable, high-performance solutions that meet customer requirements.
Main responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility evaluations and tests arising from request for proposals
- Design vision systems according to specifications, at the optical, hardware and software levels
- Program algorithms to meet customer specifications
- Commission and qualify vision systems according to specifications and up to the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
- Ensure corrections are made with the help of the relevant departments
- Ensure correct and complete documentation of the final state of the systems (optical, software, parameters and configuration)
- Ensure execution of these activities in compliance with the project process (DP ENGS), deadlines and defined costs
- Participate in the team’s scrum events. Plan and track tasks in our scrum tool (DevOPS)
- Provide training to our customers
- Service interventions at our branches, at customers’ sites or via video conference (start-up, external acceptance, troubleshooting)

Profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science and communication systems, microtechnology or equivalent training; 3 to 5 years’ experience in industrial vision and image processing in the automation field
- Knowledge of Cognex or Keyence products is a plus.
- Flexibility and availability for travel to customer sites or other group locations (10-20%).
- Very good knowledge of French and English is essential.
