Senior Radiologist 80-100% - broad diagnostics, free nights

You have been working as a specialist for one or two years and now want to take on more responsibility without regularly spending your nights in hospital? In this position, you remain broadly diagnostically engaged and bring your previous experience into a manageable radiology department with short professional pathways.

In this role, you remain a radiological all-rounder: CT, MRI and conventional X-rays are part of your daily routine, as are ultrasound, Doppler and vascular examinations. You can contribute your experience with basic interventional procedures and gradually expand it.

The established institute is part of an acute hospital in the Bern region and cares for both outpatient and inpatient patients. Additionally, several external practice locations are supported. This offers you a diverse range of examinations with planned queries as well as acute and emergency diagnostics.

You will be part of an experienced medical team with a chief physician, several senior physicians, around six senior doctors and a few assistant doctors. Direct professional exchange, short decision-making paths and mutual support characterise the collaboration.

The current duty model does not include night shifts. Approximately once a week, you will take a late shift until 10 pm and start later the following day.

Your responsibilities:

• Independent reporting of CT, MRI and conventional X-ray examinations
• Independent performance of ultrasound examinations including Doppler and vascular sonography
• Radiological care of outpatient and inpatient patients
• Opportunity to participate in interventional procedures, depending on your previous experience and interest
• Presentation and discussion of radiological findings at briefings, tumour boards and other interdisciplinary conferences
• Supervision and professional guidance of assistant doctors
• Participation in structured training and professional development of the department

Your skills:

• Specialist title in radiology, recognised in Germany or the EU; we support you with recognition
• Ideally one to two years of professional experience after obtaining the specialist title
• Confident reporting in CT, MRI and conventional radiology
• Experience in sonography
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and training of younger colleagues
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
