We are looking for 1 January 2027 (or by agreement) for our counselling service in Fribourg a
Rehabilitation Practitioner in the Field of Low Vision at 40% (m/f/d)
If you wish to work at a higher rate, it is possible to combine this position with that of Social Worker at 40%, also open for application for our counselling service.
Your workplace is located in the centre of the city of Fribourg. You will work within a motivated and committed team of 8 people and support them in assisting those affected.
Your tasks
- Low Vision assessments.
- Advice and information on Low Vision aids, their distribution, instructions and training in their use.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with the various professionals involved in the Low Vision rehabilitation process (Low Vision specialists / Orientation and Mobility / Activities of Daily Living / Job coaching, doctors, schools, employers, insurance companies).
- Writing reports and applications for assistance for Low Vision aids.
- Participation in awareness-raising and public relations events.
Your profile
- You have completed training in Low Vision or are an optician, optometrist, occupational therapist or trained in the medical-social field and are willing to undertake further training in Low Vision (funded by the fsa). During the training, the minimum required employment rate is 60%.
- You have several years of professional experience in one or more of the aforementioned fields.
- You distinguish yourself by an independent, structured working method oriented towards finding practical solutions.
- You have a sense of administration and organisation, as well as good knowledge of IT tools.
- You are interested in multidisciplinary and networked work.
- Your mother tongue is French and ideally you have very good knowledge of German.
- You hold a driving licence.
