As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel and Kaiseraugst, we are immediately seeking a motivated and committed Automation Engineer Pharma Engineering for a temporary assignment of 1 year, with the option of extension.
The Pharma Engineering home base is looking for an Automation Engineer Pharma Engineering (m/f/d) in the DP Solids KAU circle for the Basel/Kaiseraugst location.
As an Automation Engineer, you are part of the "Pharma Engineering Drug Product" circle at the Kaiseraugst site. We are responsible for innovative, GMP-compliant engineering as well as the reliable operation of complex production facilities in pharmaceutics. In a modern working environment, we support our business partners from the initial idea through project implementation to the life-cycle management of the systems. As an operations engineer in the solid area of launch production at LSL in Kaiseraugst, you are primarily responsible for the support of the systems throughout their lifecycle and provide technical advice and assistance to operations.
Within the scope of operations engineering, modifications, problem-solving, and efficiency improvements are implemented in direct collaboration with customers.
Orders and projects are handled without hierarchies in self-organised specialist teams using a new role-based working model. This requires a high degree of self-organisation, foresight, team spirit, and strong communication skills.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- The process plants to be supported have a very high degree of automation and are strongly networked with each other and with higher-level IT systems.
- Operations engineering with the aim of ensuring production continuity at all times
- Continuous optimisation of process plants and evaluating, testing, and recommending new technologies
- Proactively supporting customers in defining and initiating investment projects including cost estimates and schedules
- Participation in (leading) interdisciplinary teams composed of internal and external employees and companies
- Independent handling of automation projects in all project phases with responsibility for costs, schedules, resources, and technical solutions
- Support during audits and inspections by internal bodies and authorities in the areas of GMP and HSE
Must Haves:
- Completed vocational training or degree as a technician/engineer in automation, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or similar
- At least 5 years of professional experience in process automation, preferably with a pharmaceutical background (*****)
- Very good user knowledge in automation software from Siemens PCS7, S7, TIA, WinCC
- Solid experience in GMP and GAMP environments
- High social competence, teamwork skills, and very good communication and coordination abilities, also in dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- Willingness to work in an agile, self-organised working environment
- Very good German language skills are required; English and French skills are an advantage
