Strategic Electronics Buyer 80 – 100 % (m/f/d)

The Business Unit Operations produces parts for all Hamilton companies, from injection-moulded parts to pipette tips for liquid handling, to metal and plastic components. Our goal is to produce as many parts in-house as possible. This keeps us agile, independent, and efficient.

What you can achieve:

• Responsible for the strategic orientation of the electronics commodity group in an industrial environment
• Developing and implementing the commodity group strategy in line with procurement and operations strategy
• Participating in development projects and coordinating procurement activities within strategic purchasing
• Responsible for professional, global supplier management (evaluation, selection, assessment, and development)
• Conducting targeted procurement market research and monitoring, as well as identifying new trends
• Creating and negotiating contracts, leading price and terms negotiations
• Ensuring material availability during development phases in close cooperation with operational buyers
• Adhering to processes, governance, and compliance

What you bring with you:

• Completed commercial basic training or technical training with commercial further education
• Completed further training in procurement or supply chain management
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing in an industrial environment
• Reliable personality with entrepreneurial thinking
• Independent, structured, and conscientious working style
• Initiative, negotiation skills, and assertiveness
• Open, communicative, and integral team player
• Fluent in German and English, spoken and written (level C1)
