IT Application Manager 80-100 %

The main IT department of the Canton of Glarus is the central IT competence and service centre of the cantonal administration. It ensures the reliable operation and further development of IT and supports the administration in digital transformation.

To strengthen the Projects & Application Management unit, we are looking for an experienced and committed individual as

immediately or by arrangement with workplace in Glarus.

Tasks

• Responsibility for the operation, further development and support of the applications CMI and PrimeDocs
• Error analysis and correction, maintenance and optimisation of the assigned applications in cooperation with internal and external IT partners
• Coordination of requests and changes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Further development of the application architecture and implementation of customer-specific requirements
• Participation in various IT projects as well as independent execution of smaller IT projects
• Creation of documentation and conducting training sessions for our users
• Mutual representation of application managers and ensuring continuous support and availability of the managed applications

Requirements

• Education in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field, ideally with further training at HF or FH level
• Professional experience in the operation and support of enterprise applications (ideally with CMI and PrimeDocs)
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, especially in interaction with applications
• Organisational and planning skills as well as implementation strength
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team and with different customer groups
• Service- and customer-oriented personality
