As part of our sustainable business growth, we are looking for an intern to join the adventure. The proposed format is a paid 9-month internship with a view to permanent employment at the end, subject to mutual satisfaction, or a direct permanent contract depending on profile and prior experience. The position is based in Geneva or Lausanne.
GES Tax Intern
Your mission:
- Preparation of the tax cycle for private clients or employees authorised to receive support from RSM through client companies (from data collection to final tax review);
- Preparation of various types of work requiring a flair for numbers (tax estimates, employer total cost simulations or net employee calculations, remuneration packages, etc.);
- Preparation of advice and analyses utilising analytical and writing skills to provide operational guidance on all aspects related to the discipline in terms of taxation, social security, and HR concerning the varied mobility situations of our clients’ employees (expatriates, local transfers, business travellers, commuters, etc.);
- Maintaining direct and regular contact with clients and various tax or social security authorities, acting in the best interest of all and as an ambassador of RSM at all times;
- Strengthening your experience in an international context, with regular interactions with the RSM network worldwide;
- You will also be involved in cross-departmental projects within the Tax department (Corporate Tax & Private Client Services) or other departments, as well as contributing to regulatory monitoring (legal, tax, practical, etc.);
- You may be asked to write articles, media content, or presentations for internal training or clients on various topics related to the GES practice.
- You will work within a framework of continuous training and supervision by a more experienced colleague, tailored to your learning and progression.
Your profile:
- Swiss legal & tax education or equivalent, a flair for numerical professions and strong writing skills;
- A liking for human contact and teamwork, while ensuring autonomy in carrying out assigned tasks;
- The ability to complete tasks within a given deadline and timeframe within a continuous training and support framework;
- An aptitude for logical reasoning and synthetic analysis;
- Curiosity, enthusiasm, and empathy are essential prerequisites;
- Comfortable and agile with common digital tools:
- Fluency in French, and spoken and written English at a level compatible with interactions with non-French-speaking clients. German is a plus.
