About the job
Your role within Légumes Perchés: you will be responsible for the projects of Légumes Perchés, in neighbourhoods, schools and urban farms.
Your daily routine will be punctuated by travel between different sites where you will care for the crops and lead workshops. You will organise these workshops for schoolchildren and residents, thus creating a special bond with them. Your goal? To reconnect citizens with nature and local food, to beautify places by transforming them into edible landscapes, and to produce tasty local vegetables.
The Project Manager's tasks
• Project management: you will lead and organise maintenance and workshop activities. • Workshop facilitation: you will run varied workshops, from planting to preserving vegetables in jars, including participatory work sessions. • Online coaching: you will maintain contact with participants through online content to share with them for coaching. • Maintenance: you will ensure the regular upkeep of vegetable gardens and urban farms to guarantee their beauty and abundance. • Equipment organisation: you will oversee proper maintenance and storage of equipment to ensure smooth running of activities. • Team organisation: occasionally you will supervise and coordinate two market gardener facilitators involved in certain neighbourhood projects.
Project Manager profile
• You have hands-on experience with soil for many years and master gardening techniques as well as vegetable crop management. • Your enthusiasm, ease in making contact and listening skills make you an outstanding facilitator. • You have an aesthetic sense in vegetable gardens and wish to create beautiful and welcoming places. • You are autonomous and able to take initiative, you are handy and can drive a utility vehicle; if you are punctual and organised, this position is made for you. • You have good physical abilities.
