Job Description
As a French teacher within the Etablissements de la plaine de l'Orbe (EPO), you provide individualised, collective and adapted teaching enabling detainees to acquire a good level of French.
You assess the initial level as well as the progress of the trainees by valuing their participation, involvement and the quality of their work. You organise your teaching ensuring differentiation of pedagogical practices to make the training accessible to all learners, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds.
You identify any learning difficulties and ensure the transmission of relevant information to the concerned EPO stakeholders to guarantee appropriate support.
Finally, you ensure compliance with the institutional framework and the application of security measures in force within the establishment.

Responsibilities
Provide individualised, collective and adapted pedagogical teaching enabling each person to acquire the basics or improve their practice of the French language.
Assess the basic level as well as the progress of detainees registered for the activity by valuing participation, application and work.
Organise your teaching ensuring differentiation of pedagogical practices to make the training accessible to all detainees participating in the activity.
Identify any learning difficulties and communicate them to the concerned EPO stakeholders.
Explain the course expectations and ensure follow-up of its teaching.
Ensure the application of security measures in force within the establishment.

Qualifications
Diploma in French as a foreign language or other equivalent qualification in the field of expertise.
FSEA certificate - adult trainer, an advantage.
Ability to manage individuals in difficulty in a closed environment, both individually and within a group.
Minimum of 4 years practical experience teaching French to an adult audience.
Our employment conditions require you to be Swiss or hold a C permit, free of debt enforcement (an extract from the Debt Collection Office must be presented during the process), and your criminal record must be clean. There is a right to consult the criminal record under the Federal Law on the Criminal Record by the hiring authority for this position.
