HES/EPFL Chemical Engineer (Permanent Position, 80 – 100%), Specialist in Mass Spectrometry

For nearly 50 years, the Dubois Laboratory has been working to improve the quality of watchmaking, jewellery, medical, microtechnical products, and more. Serving the most prestigious brands in these sectors, it contributes to many of their developments.

Qualifications

Hold a degree as a chemical engineer (or an equivalent qualification). Have excellent knowledge of analytical chemistry. Possess extensive skills in mass spectrometry (GC-MS, TD/Py-GC-MS, DIP-MS). Have a very good command of the equipment and its operation. Be capable of working independently or as part of a team depending on the projects. Have a very good analytical mind and the ability to handle client requests with relevance and pragmatism. Possess very good writing skills in French and English; German is an asset. Have good priority and deadline management skills.

Responsibilities

Propose, develop and carry out tests and analyses related to our clients’ issues. Develop/establish new analytical procedures. Ensure maintenance of equipment and its proper functioning. Participate in expanding the laboratory’s services.
