About the job
University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
immediately or by arrangement
At the foot of the Jura and in the midst of the Three-Lakes Region lies Biel - the bilingual, cosmopolitan city with a special flair. Biel is not only known for its bilingual charm and many excursion destinations in the surrounding area, but also fills an important gap in child and adolescent psychiatric care in the Bernese Jura, Biel and Seeland. Do you enjoy strolling through the old town with its numerous cafés and petits magasins during your free time? In the day clinic, we treat children between 6-17 years old. Mental health, two words that explain why it is worthwhile for the staff to commit themselves daily to our children. You too? Do you also want to meet people on equal terms and work in an inspiring, multicultural environment? At the Psychotherapeutic-Pedagogical Centre Biel-Bienne of the University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (KJP), the individual is at the centre. Here you have the opportunity to become active in a appreciative and highly competent interdisciplinary team and to contribute your expertise. In this position, you work in a varied and exciting environment that offers you a great deal of scope for action. You benefit from excellent team dynamics and develop innovative treatment approaches together.
Your tasks
- You take on the day-clinic child and adolescent psychiatric treatment
- You plan and carry out patient-centred treatments in the interdisciplinary team
- You check the effectiveness of the measures taken and conduct relieving, orientation-giving conversations with patients, their family systems and other support systems
- You document care and patient data and organise your work tasks independently
- You actively participate in team meetings and case conferences to ensure the exchange of expertise and the continuous improvement of treatment strategies
Your profile
- You have completed training as a social pedagogue FH / HF or as a qualified nurse
- Ideally, you have experience working with children, adolescents and their family systems
- You are characterised by high social and professional competence and work constructively in the interdisciplinary team
- You comprehensively involve children and guardians in your actions and remain calm and reliable even in difficult situations
- You feel comfortable in the clinical environment and have good IT skills
- You have very good German and French language skills, both spoken and written
- You are committed, independent and resilient as well as willing to engage intensively with our patients
