About the job
What is my role?
Enter orders into our IT system - and of course keep an eye on the verification criteria, otherwise it gets chaotic
Arrange dates with suppliers from Asia and really monitor them (yes, shipping schedules are part of it!)
Write invoices - someone has to do it
Ensure our suppliers get their money on time (they will like us more then)
Coordinate international transports with freight forwarders - Tetris for advanced players
Phone, email, chat in person with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders and whoever else shows up
Obtain quotations - comparing prices is fun!
Help with master data entry
Handle quality complaints (when something goes wrong)
Occasionally dash off to trade fairs, if necessary
Rock purchasing projects
Drive technical development projects forward
Create evaluations and reports - numbers, data, facts
Translate and pass on sample assessments
Translate texts between German and English - both commercial and technical, we are flexible
Take care of the usual office classics
What do I need to be successful?
Commercial training completed, ideally with additional purchasing training on top - or you have simply survived 3 years in purchasing and know how things work
Fluent German and English in spoken and written form - and really fluent, not just "school English from 10 years ago"!
You master MS Office in your sleep (minimum!), and new tools don’t scare you - on the contrary, you are curious
You are motivated, work independently, don’t get rattled easily, think strategically rather than just from 9 to 5, are a true team player, communicate clearly and directly, look for solutions instead of excuses, take responsibility and see the big picture - oh yes, and you find changes exciting rather than annoying
Technical understanding is not a foreign language to you
You can prioritise without panicking and feel completely at home in an international environment
You deal professionally with suppliers - even if things get tricky, you stay cool and constructive
What are my benefits?
A job that is more than just typing orders - here you really understand how the whole operation runs
You talk on the phone with people from Asia while your colleagues are still dreaming of the weekend - international flair included
Purchasing and development projects where you can really have a say - not just making coffee and nodding
Fancy trade fairs? No problem, pack your suitcase and off you go (but only if you want to and it makes sense)
Small team, short distances
You decide how to approach your work yourself - micromanagement is elsewhere
Home office? Sure, 1 day per week is possible - plus other modern employment conditions, because we don’t live in the last century
What distinguishes the company?
Everything we tackle, we do with determination, natural enthusiasm and dedication - sounds like a motivational poster? But it’s true! We are passionate about sport in nature and we live for our products. Okay, we sometimes sleep too, but you know what we mean. We are proud to offer athletes the world’s best product - and no, that’s not false modesty, just a fact.
