• Main workload: ~29% (5.25 h / 18 h) – Physics for the Swiss Federal Maturity (French)
• Option 1 (+16.6%): +3 h / 18 h – MYP Sciences (Year 9 - French)
• Option 2 (+37.5%): +6.75 h / 18 h – IGCSE Physics (English - if bilingual)

Your role and responsibilities

• Teach Physics for the Swiss Federal Maturity programme (French-speaking section).
• Depending on your profile: teach Sciences (physics-chemistry and biology) within the French-speaking MYP (Year 9) and/or Physics of the IGCSE programme in English.
• Regularly assess students’ progress and communicate results to parents in detail.
• Ensure the progression and monitoring of the course programme for all students.
• Work closely with department colleagues to develop teaching resources, exams, and enrichment activities.

Desired profiles

Skills and experience

• University degree and recognised teaching qualification for Physics (Swiss Maturity / Secondary II).
• Fluency in French (language of instruction for Maturity and MYP).
• Bilingualism in French-English is a major asset (required for the additional IGCSE English-speaking teaching load).
• Strong command of integrating technology in teaching and laboratory activities.
• Experience working collaboratively with a laboratory technician.
• Excellent classroom management, organisational and communication skills.

Personal qualities

• Passion for teaching and willingness to support each student towards success.
• Willingness to contribute to the department’s enrichment activities (field trips, project supervision, etc.).
