Role:
In this role, you will take on the specialist medical leadership in orthopaedics with a focus on the spine and shape the strategic and content-related development of this specialty. You are responsible for indication, planning, and execution of complex conservative and operative treatments of the spine and ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. You lead and supervise medical colleagues, actively shape interdisciplinary treatment processes, and promote close collaboration with adjacent specialties. Additionally, you engage in continuous quality development, support training and further education activities, and contribute your expertise to professional committees and projects. With your specialist-level experience, you set standards in spinal surgery care and significantly contribute to profiling this focus area.
Responsibilities:
- In this role, you care for outpatient and inpatient patients in the spine area.
- You take responsibility within the duty system and actively participate in duty planning.
- As the specialist medical director for orthopaedics spine, you work interdisciplinarily in a lively, modern, and future-oriented hospital.
- You actively participate in clinical and training events and promote professional exchange.
- In this role, you actively contribute to the expansion and further development of the spinal department.
- You bring your expertise to the certified University Clinic for Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University Musculoskeletal Centre.
Qualifications:
- You are a specialist physician (FMH) in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system and have experience in spinal surgery.
- You demonstrate high commitment, teamwork skills, and strong communication abilities.
- You bring a creative, solution-oriented working style and actively shape changes.
- You possess high social competence and treat patients and colleagues with respect.
- You have a pronounced economic understanding and appreciate the dynamics of a lively operation.
