As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner, Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are immediately seeking a motivated and dedicated DevOps Engineer for a temporary 12-month assignment with the possibility of extension.
As a Software Engineer with a focus on DevOps, you will be part of the DevOps team at Roche, playing a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. You will enable the Molecular Lab network to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic solutions, and your contributions will empower customers to make a real impact in patient care.
The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive and experienced DevOps Software Engineer with 4-8 years of experience. You should be proficient in technologies such as Git and containerization, with a strong background in Linux, Bash, and Python scripting. The perfect candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who can effectively communicate complex concepts and is motivated to make a positive impact on both the team and the company's customers.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines, infrastructure, and documentation by applying in-depth technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for medical software.
- Drive the timely delivery of stable, secure, and scalable systems, meeting organizational standards and customer requirements while enabling faster development cycles and improved reliability.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning within and across diverse and intercultural teams.
- Empower your team members to take ownership of their work and lead by example to foster teamwork and mentorship.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a specialized field related to DevOps development or engineering.
- 4-8 years of experience in DevOps with one or more technologies (e.g., Git, containerization, virtualization, CI/CD pipeline).
- Capable of solving complex issues creatively and effectively, using a multi-faceted approach based on thorough analysis to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster an inclusive and diverse environment as well as collaborate effectively within and across teams.
- Fluent in English.
- Linux experience (Debian or Ubuntu).
- Scripting in bash and python.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps / GitHub.
- Motivation to make an impact on your fellow team members, the company, its customers, and its patients.
