For our client, an established company with multiple locations and a technically demanding infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced leader as Head of Operations Technology & Infrastructure. In this strategically and operationally important role, you are responsible for the technical availability, further development, and economic efficiency of systems and infrastructure across multiple sites. You combine technical expertise with leadership skills and entrepreneurial thinking, actively shaping the future technical direction.
- Development and implementation of a sustainable maintenance strategy focusing on safety, availability, efficiency, and long-term system reliability
- Management and control of automation, investment, infrastructure, and optimisation projects from the concept phase through economic evaluation to implementation
- Leadership and development of the technical organisation including direct management of specialists and managers as well as fostering a culture of independent working
- Management of the area based on budgets, key figures, investment planning, and technical risks, ensuring transparent cost and performance development
- Identification of critical technical risks and development of measures for emergency planning, redundancy, fault tolerance, and sustainable operational safety
- Several years of leadership experience in a technical environment, ideally with responsibility for multiple locations and managing managers
- Sound knowledge in maintenance, automation, technical infrastructure, and/or complex technical systems
- Experience in leading major investment, automation, or infrastructure projects as well as a strong understanding of technical and economic interrelations
- Fluent German skills and good English skills
- Strategically responsible leadership position with direct influence on the company’s technical development
- Broad range of tasks between leadership, engineering, maintenance, infrastructure, and investment planning
- High scope for shaping the further development of structures, processes, and technical standards
- Committed environment with short decision-making paths and interdisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities

Profile
- Higher technical education at HF, FH, or university level, for example in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, building technology, industrial engineering, or a comparable field- Several years of leadership experience in a technical environment, ideally with responsibility for multiple locations and managing managers
- Sound knowledge in maintenance, automation, technical infrastructure, and/or complex technical systems
- Experience in leading major investment, automation, or infrastructure projects as well as a strong understanding of technical and economic interrelations
- Fluent German skills and good English skills
