The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. Your tasks
This position is aimed at an experienced individual who is accustomed to operating at the highest management level. With precision, foresight, and a keen sense of priorities, you manage complex processes and reliably bring matters to completion. You move confidently in the interface between science, politics, administration, and business and understand how to professionally accompany a wide range of stakeholders on an equal footing.
- Forward-looking management of a complex agenda as well as preparation, coordination, and follow-up of the Chief of Staff’s affairs
- Independent preparation of correspondence, dossiers, and presentations
- Preparation and follow-up of meetings
- Planning and hosting visits of high-ranking guests from science, politics, business, and international organisations
- Organisation of events as well as national and international travel
- Ensuring efficient processes and continuous improvement of administrative procedures
- Collaboration in the Directorate Secretariat as well as deputising for the Head of the Directorate Secretariat and supporting overarching leadership and coordination tasks
Your profile
- Several years of experience as an Executive Assistant, management assistant, or in a comparable demanding assistant role in the environment of directorates, executive management, or staff units
- Strong organisational skills, high personal responsibility, and excellent prioritisation abilities
- Fluent German skills as well as very good English skills
- Highest standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability
- Confident demeanour, diplomatic skills, and enjoyment in dealing with demanding internal and external stakeholders
- Quick comprehension, pragmatic solution orientation, and the ability to remain calm and focused even under time pressure
- High discretion, loyalty, and trustworthiness
