About the job
Develop smart IoT & hardware solutions for a global technology leader
You don’t just want to write code, but bring physical products to life? For an internationally leading Swiss technology company in the field of smart climate solutions and building automation, we are looking for a committed Embedded Software Engineer.
In an agile, interdisciplinary R&D environment, you develop the control software for the next generation of intelligent devices. Here you combine hardware-near C/C++ programming, modern DevOps toolchains and security standards with direct influence on global industrial products.
- Firmware & RTOS: You program close to the hardware in C and C++ on modern microcontroller architectures (e.g. ARM Cortex-M / STM32) using real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Modern Lifecycle & Tooling: You use and shape modern CI/CD pipelines, Git workflow tools (Azure DevOps) and automated build processes.
- Quality Assurance & HIL Testing: You conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests and create customised test and support tools (e.g. with Python or C#).
- Cyber Security & Architecture: You assist in designing modern system architectures and implement established security standards for connected IoT devices.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: You work hand in hand with experts from electronics, mechanics and product management.
- Embedded C/C++ Expertise: Several years of experience in hardware-near software development in C/C++ on microcontrollers as well as practical experience with RTOS.
- Testing & Scripting: Good knowledge in developing test tools and automation scripts (Python or C#).
- Method Competence: Familiarity with modern version control tools (Git) and agile development methods.
- Personality & Languages: Analytical thinking, high quality standards and enjoyment in solving complex system issues. Good German and English skills.
- Modern Culture & Flexibility: Flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, flexible working time models (from 80%) as well as attractive home office options.
- State-of-the-Art Workplace: Highly modern R&D laboratories, ergonomic offices and excellent transport connections.
- Targeted Support: Comprehensive internal and external training offers for personal and professional development.
- Above-Average Benefits: Very good social benefits, attractive pension factors and on-site discounts.
