With its over 9,000 inhabitants, Aarburg is in the midst of an exciting development phase that will lead to a strong identity, economic success and an attractive place to live. Due to a retirement, we are looking for a social worker 60% from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.
Within the city administration, the Social Services department fulfils the role of a contact point for people in personal, family or financial difficulties. Together with all those affected, interdisciplinary bridging and permanent solutions are found.
Your main tasks
- Clarification of entitlement and allocation of social assistance benefits
- Support, advice and personal care of clients in statutory social assistance and of those seeking advice according to contemporary social work methods
- Investigations on behalf of the family court in the area of children/youth
Your profile
- Recognised training in social work
- Professional experience in the field of statutory social assistance and/or child protection
- Interest and skills in advising people from different age groups and cultures
- Decisiveness and assertiveness
- Enjoyment of working in a team, with authorities and institutions
- Good IT user skills (MS Office, KLIBnet)
