About the job
As (Senior) Legal Counsel you play a central role within the Implenia Group and take on legal responsibility for selected areas of focus, primarily Swiss construction and procurement law. You are the first point of contact for our internal stakeholders and support the business units as well as the corporate functions with sound legal advice.
Your workplace is our headquarters in the Ambassador House in Opfikon, with the possibility to also work partially from home.
Responsibilities: (Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d) 80-100%
- In this role, you provide comprehensive legal advice to our operational units (mainly building construction) – with a focus on Swiss construction and procurement law.
- You take on legal risk management in tender procedures, contract negotiations and conclusions (e.g. real estate purchase agreements, work and project development contracts, lease and property law contracts).
- You review, assert and enforce legal claims – or defend against them in the interest of Implenia.
- Furthermore, you independently conduct contract and settlement negotiations and find pragmatic solutions.
- You represent Implenia before state courts and authorities and coordinate external law firms.
- Through internal training, especially in construction and procurement law, you strengthen legal understanding within the company.
Requirements: (Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d) 80-100%
- You have successfully completed a university degree in Switzerland (lic.iur./MLaw) with a Swiss bar admission
- You bring 4-6 years of professional experience as a lawyer and/or legal counsel, preferably with experience in construction law
- Your assertiveness and negotiation skills as well as your strong communication and team competence distinguish you
- You have a quick grasp of complex issues, work pragmatically and solution-oriented, and can communicate legal topics understandably to non-lawyers
- An independent, swift and careful working style as well as a high level of commitment and resilience are natural to you
- You have business fluent German and very good English skills, preferably good Italian skills
