Volunteer for Conversations with a Resident

As the largest social enterprise in the Basel area, we offer meaningful work, independent living, as well as comprehensive care and support at BSB (Bürgerspital Basel) with around 1,600 employees.

The Burgfelderhof care centre offers 113 residents a comfortable and individual home close to the city and surrounded by greenery. Light-flooded rooms, a park-like environment, as well as professional care and support ensure that the residents at the Burgfelderhof care centre feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for.

We are looking for a person who enjoys chatting with a friendly resident about current world events and going for coffee together. She also likes to go for walks in the nearby area in her wheelchair. She looks forward to your company!

The commitment involves weekly shifts on weekdays or weekends for about 1 hour.

Volunteering at BSB complements the professional full-time work but does not compete with it. It is of great importance for the quality of life of the people being cared for.

• Empathetic and patient personality
