To strengthen our team, we are looking immediately for a Senior Systems & Network Engineer (80–100%)

Your Responsibilities

• Design, further development, and documentation of system and network architectures for plants and systems in supply and disposal, energy supply, as well as in industrial environments

• Model-based system development and application of MBSE methods (e.g. SysML/UML) for structured description and further development of complex systems

• Integration and coordination of hardware, software, and communication components into holistic system solutions

• Creation and further development of network, security, and system concepts focusing on stability, security, scalability, and long-term operation

• Configuration, integration, commissioning, and testing of network and system components in projects and operational environments

• Planning and execution of validation, verification, as well as laboratory, automated, and field tests

• Requirements engineering and ensuring traceability throughout the entire system lifecycle

• Application and further development of development and integration processes, for example according to the V-Model or agile approaches

• Operation, support, and targeted assistance of customer plants and network infrastructures within projects and service assignments

• Analysis and resolution of complex system, network, and security issues in 2nd and 3rd level support environments

• Technical support for project management and pre-sales, especially in solution concepts, system architectures, network designs, and quotations

• Coaching, knowledge transfer, and support of colleagues with technical questions

Your Qualifications

• Completed studies at HF/FH/ETH/University in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, systems engineering, or a related technical field, or a comparable qualification

• Several years of relevant professional experience in system engineering, network engineering, or system integration, ideally 5–8 years

• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, IPsec, and firewall technologies

• Experience with network and security solutions, for example from Fortinet, Cisco, or Arista

• Good knowledge of system architecture, modelling, and MBSE, ideally with SysML, UML, or model-based design

• Experience in requirements engineering, traceability, as well as validation and verification

• Knowledge of test methods and preferably test automation

• Understanding and practical experience with agile development processes, V-Model, or classical procedural models

• Experience with quality standards and regulatory requirements is an advantage

• Further training and certifications in networking, security, or systems engineering are advantageous, e.g. Cisco or Fortinet certifications

• Driving licence category B and willingness to work at customer sites in German-speaking Switzerland

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as good reading comprehension

• A careful, structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style

• Enjoyment in understanding, structuring, and translating complex technical contexts into practical solutions
