Role:
In this role, you take on the medical leadership of emergency care and ensure evidence-based, high-quality treatment of emergency patients. You are responsible for the professional management of acute medical processes, further develop clinical standards, and ensure their consistent implementation in daily practice. In addition, you lead and supervise medical colleagues, promote their further training, and contribute to the continuous professionalisation of emergency medicine. Furthermore, you work interdisciplinarily with other specialist areas, initiate improvement projects, and bring your expertise to strategic decisions for the further development of emergency care. With your solid expertise and clinical experience background, you shape emergency medicine in this role significantly and sustainably.
Responsibilities:
- In this role, you lead the interdisciplinary emergency centre both professionally and organisationally.
- You drive the further development of the emergency centre, especially regarding the new hospital building and certification according to SGNOR guidelines.
- You work closely with the emergency nursing management as well as the general practitioners of the emergency practice.
- As Medical Director Emergency Care, you actively shape a varied role in a lively, family-like environment.
- You influence the team culture, help shape the existing team, and participate in the recruitment of a senior physician position (60-100% workload).
Qualifications:
- You hold a specialist title in General Internal Medicine or an equivalent qualification as well as the interdisciplinary focus Clinical Emergency Medicine (SGNOR) or an equivalent.
- You have completed or are close to completing training in emergency sonography SGUM.
- You bring proven experience as a senior physician in the interdisciplinary care of emergency patients.
- You value close interdisciplinary collaboration with various professional groups.
- You actively promote the professional competencies of your team and are committed to medical education and training.
- You are interested in management tasks and wish to share this responsibility in the emergency area.
