About the job
The University Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Pain Medicine provides clinical services in the fields of anaesthesiology, emergency medicine, and pain medicine. In the outpatient interprofessional pain consultation, around 1,300 patients with complex acute and chronic pain syndromes of various aetiologies are treated annually within the framework of a structured biopsychosocial care concept. To expand our interdisciplinary treatment offerings, we are looking for a qualified psychologist.
What to expect
- Conducting interprofessional initial consultations including structured psychological diagnostics and creating an integrative treatment concept based on the biopsychosocial model
- Psychotherapeutic treatment of patients with chronic pain syndromes and comorbid mental disorders
- Conducting pain- and psychoeducational interventions in individual and group settings
- Promoting coping strategies, self-management skills, and self-efficacy in dealing with pain and its biopsychosocial consequences
- Guidance in evidence-based methods of relaxation, imagination, and mindfulness
- Prospect of developing biofeedback methods
- Active participation in internal clinical training to convey pain psychological fundamentals as well as conceptual co-design of the strategic further development of outpatient pain medicine
What you bring
- Completed university degree in psychology (Master’s or equivalent)
- Completed or well-advanced training in psychotherapy, preferably with cognitive-behavioural, systemic and/or integrative orientation
- Clinical experience in the field of pain psychology or psychosomatic medicine is an advantage
- Committed, resilient personality with high personal responsibility, interprofessional cooperation skills, and scientific interest
- Good spoken French skills are desirable
